It all started when we were undergraduates at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Marty and Victor were part of a handful of students that wanted to bring a student-led EMS group to campus. A year into it, the group realized it needed a source of EMTs since the current ones were graduating. Marty was asked to lead this endeavor and became the lead instructor of UIC EMS with his first class hosting 17 students. Since then we've consistently cultivated the greatest number of quality EMTs every Fall, Spring, and Summer semester that average about a 90% pass rate on the NREMT.
Fast forward to the present, and we're ready to take the EMT program to new heights. We are striving to become THE premiere EMT program in the Chicagoland area through holistic education and eclectic clinical opportunities.

A few years ago, I had the privilege of attending the UIC EMS summer program. The guidance and knowledge provided to me by the entire staff at UIC EMS made even the most complex topics understandable and enjoyable. To this day, when I tell my peers I went through the UIC EMS program, I recognize an immediate surge in expectations and trust. I truly believe UIC EMS is the best EMT program in the midwest and highly recommend it to anyone looking to begin their journey into the world of EMS.

The class showed me that with the right mindset and experienced teachers, you can truly make an impact should someone need emergency medical care. Marty and Victor go above and beyond to ensure that students are prepared, calm, and collected for the unpredictable. With years of experience and real life examples, they bring to life what students will see in the field, preparing them for clinical rotations, the NREMT, and a future life equipped with the skills for Basic Life Support. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to better not only their lives, but those around them. Invest in yourself and take this course; you never know when you may need it.
